A call for interest to local businesses to register for help desk in your district

Businesses are invited to register for the green economy support help desks that will be set up across Western Cape districts in support of building an energy and water resilient ecosystem for the economy. Businesses can register via this link: https://forms.gle/QmpwHCNuh4BswuEs9 or direct inquiries to events@green-cape.co.za. These help desks are free, in-person and open to all businesses and SMMEs in the green economy or interested in assessing options to implement renewable energy or water-resilient interventions for their business.

GreenCape has partnered with the Western Cape Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning to host a series of information help desks for local businesses as part of a province-wide roadshow across Western Cape districts. These help desks aim to support businesses with water and energy-related issues from green economy sector experts.

Businesses and stakeholders across the green economy value chain are invited to attend these roadshow visits at the preferred location by clicking on this RSVP link. Alternatively, register via email to: events@green-cape.co.za

The details of the roadshow are as follows:

  • 29 July 2025: Beaufort West, Central Karoo
  • 17 September 2025: City of Cape Town
  • 7 October 2025: Paarl, Cape Winelands
  • 9 October 2025: Hermanus, Overberg
  • 12 November 2025: George, Garden Route

By registering for the help desks, businesses will receive access to:

  • One-on-one consultations with green economy sector desk experts;
  • Information packs that will assist businesses with investment decisions on building energy and water resilience;
  • Opportunities to engage the local municipality and provincial government regarding support to businesses in the green economy.

The help desks and information provided by green economy sector desk specialists will cover the following:

  • An overview of the renewable energy and water sectors in South Africa;
  • Step-by-step, practical guides for improving energy and water resilience for businesses;
  • Finance and incentive options for investing in green technologies;
  • Case study examples of energy and water resilience initiatives in action.
